*Now accepting skills assessment applications for the Western Australian Designated Area Migration Agreement*
Community Work Australia (formerly Australian Community Workers Association) is the skills assessing authority for community services professionals applying to migrate to Australia under select occupations.
Welcome. If you are applying for a visa under the General Skilled Migration program and you need to have your skills and experience recognised, you can apply for a skills assessment through Community Work Australia if:
- your visa requirements include a skills assessment, and
- the occupation you are planning to nominate is assessed by us.
A skills assessment is not professional registration, or a job offer.
- We do not provide information, advice or assistance with finding employment in Australia, nor can we help you find an employer sponsor.
- We do not provide migration advice. If you are unsure about your migration pathway, you may need to seek help from a registered migration agent.
Occupations and assessment type
Community Work Australia is the assessing authority for a number of skilled occupations for different purposes. Please see the different assessment types below:
- General skilled visa occupations (MLTSSL and STSOL)
- Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) occupations
- Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement (ACILA) occupations
If you are not sure which assessment type to apply for, review the visa requirements on the Department of Home Affairs’ website, or speak to a registered migration agent.
