Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) has changed its name to Community Work Australia
Community Work Australia

As of 1 February 2024, Community Work Australia is updating its document requirements for membership and skills assessment related applications. To apply for membership or a skills assessment, applicants must submit supporting documents with their application form. These documents typically provide evidence of identity or qualifications.

In line with modern practices, Community Work Australia is transitioning away from certified copies to requiring colour scans of original documents.

During a transition period of three months – from 1 February to 30 April 2024 – both certified copies and colour scans of original documents will be accepted.

From 1 May 2024, certified copies will no longer be accepted, and documents submitted with an application must be a high-resolution colour scan of the original.

Colour scans of original documents must be:

✔ no larger than 10MB
✔ high resolution (we recommend 600 dpi)
✔ in the following file types: pdf, jpeg/jpg, png

If you are preparing to apply to Community Work Australia, please make sure you read the revised requirements carefully.
